Introducing a summer of route setting clinics for us all

Intro to route setting Clinic

Discover the art of route setting in this hands-on, introductory clinic designed for everyday climbers. Participants will learn practical skills - such as hold attachment and ladder placement - and will be introduced to the creative process of setting, from selecting holds to setting a boulder’s first draft ( or “skeleton”).  By the end of the session, you will have set and forerun your very own boulder problems with real-time feedback from the professional setting crew.

*This is a 2 day clinic. No prior route setting experience necessary!


Beginner route setting Clinic

Develop the art of route setting in this hands-on, beginner clinic designed for newer routesetters. Participants will deepen their understanding of the fundamentals, such as intentional hold selection, and refine their ability to encourage deliberate movements. 

*This is a 2 day clinic. Some route setting experience recommended!


Intermediate route setting Clinic

Progress your route setting in this hands-on clinic designed for intermediate routesetters. Participants will develop their ability to set intentional movement without the constraints of a commercial day and grow their confidence in the forerunning process. 

*This is a 2 day clinic. 2 Years of route setting experience recommended!


Advanced route setting Clinics

Progress your route setting in this hands-on clinic designed for intermediate routesetters. Participants will develop their ability to set intentional movement without the constraints of a commercial day and grow their confidence in the forerunning process.

*This is a 1 day clinic. 3+ Years of route setting experience recommended!

The route setting clinics will be happening at the YTC where we can utilize the space freely without interrupting our communities sessions.
